Authorities have made public identification of a 25-year-old man found dead behind a Mission Valley grocery shop. Found unresponsive on the east side of the Food 4 Less building in the 7700 block of Hazard Centre Drive at roughly 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, the man is Drevon Butler-Warren.
Receiving a call about an unconscious person, the police arrived at the site to discover Butler-Warren. Lieutenant Lou Maggi of San Diego Police Department reported that he was declared deceased at the spot.
The reason of death is yet unknown and will wait for postmortem analysis findings. Investigators keep compiling data to help to define the events surrounding this sad event. As they become available, further specifics will be shared.
