Lee Kinkle, Fostoria, Imlay City high school graduate died at 74

Lee A. Kinkle, 74, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Born on February 19, 1950, in Detroit, he was the son of Leland and Frances (Neumayer) Kinkle. Lee grew up in the Imlay City area and graduated from Imlay City High School.

On January 14, 1998, he married Frances Robinet in Columbiaville, creating a loving partnership that enriched their lives together. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army and later continued his service in the National Guard Reserves. He dedicated his career as a rural postal carrier in Lapeer County, where he became a familiar face in the community.

An avid collector, Lee enjoyed amassing baseball cards and expressing his creativity through painting landscapes. He cherished riding around the rural roads with Frances, taking in the beauty of their surroundings.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Frances; his children, Julie (Greg) Havens, Mike Morey, Cathie (Matt) Updegraff, and Andy (Cara) Plumb; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Joseph Schierlinger will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date.
