It is with great sadness that Caroline Surlis announces the passing of her brave sister, Sarah Ellemor, this week. A former account executive at British Airways, Sarah attended Richmond County Grammar School, graduating in 1975. She later pursued her studies at Kingston College and earned a degree in Fashion Journalism from the prestigious London College of Fashion.
Residing in Bognor Regis and originally from Walton-on-Thames, Sarah faced significant health challenges throughout her life, including a 30-year battle with multiple sclerosis. Despite her condition, she approached life with remarkable strength and resilience, refusing to let her illness define her.
Sarah’s journey included overcoming breast cancer, two bouts of pneumonia, and septicemia, showcasing her unwavering determination to persevere through adversity. Throughout her challenges, she maintained her wicked sense of humor and a zest for life that inspired those around her.
Her indomitable spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including her beloved partner, Harry. Sarah Ellemor leaves behind a legacy of courage and positivity that will continue to resonate with family, friends, and colleagues. Her remarkable ability to find joy in life’s moments, even in the face of hardship, serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit.
