It has been determined by the authorities in Fairfax County who the pedestrian victim of a hit-and-run accident that took place in the Hybla Valley region was. James Matthew Martin, 57, lost his life on Richmond Highway late the night of the collision.
Preliminary accounts state that Martin was crossing Richmond Highway from east to west but was outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a car. On scene, emergency responders declared him dead. The driver engaged in the altercation left before law enforcement showed up. The suspect vehicle has been recognised by police as a Toyota Camry; no further information regarding the driver has been made public.
