Benjamin Tyler Sostre, a resident of Uncasville, CT, died away on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was 36 years old. Benjamin was not merely an individual; he was an experience. He was an impulsive, adrenaline-seeking individual who would do anything for an adventure. Benjamin’s charisma was so strong that he could alter the atmosphere of an entire room with a mere entrance. He possessed an unmistakable spark, a vitality that infused every moment with a sense of radiance and a sense of optimism.
That was the impact he had on all those he encountered, including police officers, medical professionals, Dunkin’ workers, and the scratch-off cashier. His charisma and magnetism were not impervious to anyone. Ben was proud of his ability to provide for his family. He harboured an intense affection and regard for Justine and the existence they had established. He was a protective father to his infant daughter, Paige, and his young friend Cohen.
He was a fervent automotive enthusiast who could be found working in his garage for the sake of his friends, family, or simply for the enjoyment of it. He was a force of nature who embraced challenges headlong. His vibrant personality will endure in the countless narratives that can be recounted about him.
Funeral Plans
A memorial service will be conducted at the Montville Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tpk., Montville, CT, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5th. A private family gathering will immediately follow. The Montville Polish Club, located at 85 Maple Ave. in Montville, CT, will host a celebration of life on Saturday, October 12th, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
