Beth Caro Houma, LA, died after a courageous battle with melanoma

Beth Ann Caro, 60, of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 3:35 a.m. after a courageous battle with melanoma. Born and raised in Houma, Beth remained a lifelong resident, deeply connected to her community.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with visitation resuming on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Beth is survived by her beloved daughter Kandice Francis and her husband Ray Francis Jr.; granddaughter, Kenzi Rae Francis, who was the light of her life; mother, Bonnie Brien Caro, and her fiancé Berris Rodrigue; father, Jerry Caro and wife Terri; brothers, James Caro (Melissa) and Peter Caro (Laurie); sister, Natalie Franco (Pete); godchild, Christopher Caro; and nieces and nephews, Brianna Caro, Brittney Caro, Neomie Franco, Jacob Delaune, Blake Caro (Britt), Philip Franco, and Ramsey Caro. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rhonda LeBeouf (Bryan), along with numerous extended family members and lifelong friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas White; her godchild, Taylor Caro; and her grandparents, Horis and Nellie Caro, Lance and Laura Brien, and Elizabeth “Bessie” Brien. Beth was known for her kindness, dedication, and love for her family, especially her granddaughter. Friday lunches with Kandice and Brianna were a cherished tradition, and her presence will be deeply missed. She loved spending time with friends and attending drag races, a passion she shared with her racing family.

For nearly twenty years, Beth was a devoted employee at T&D Towing, where her dedication left a lasting impact on her bosses and coworkers. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Genieve Maronge, Dr. Manthri, and the staff at Terrebonne General Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for their exceptional care during Beth’s battle with melanoma.
