Cynthia Nyhan died quietly this morning, Oct. 7, at the age of 73 following a tenacious and brave struggle almost four years ago. Those who loved her will always remember her grace, which was nothing short of amazing—strength and resiliency against hardship.
Renowned for her loyalty and compassion, Cynthia was Vincent’s cherished spouse providing a lifetime of love and company. Teresa Wheller and Sarah Louise Knowlson’s guiding light set an amazing model of compassion, wisdom, and support—qualities that made her a really unique presence in their life. To Ryan, Gracie Wheller, and Charlie, she was more than simply a grandma; she was a source of unceasing happiness, love, and support that will leave memories in their hearts always.
Her path, which was defined by bravery and will, is evidence of her character and the great love she carried for her family. For those who have had the good fortune to share in her life, her perseverance and compassion still inspire us. Though much missed, Cynthia’s impact will endure in the many people she touched.
The family has sincerely appreciated the help and well wishes they have received over this period. Plans for honouring her memory will be revealed in not too distant future, giving family and friends a chance to gather and honour a life lived with love, grace, and relentless strength.
Those closest to her said, “You battled to the very end, displaying a bravery that leaves an everlasting impact on all of us. Your presence will always be felt till we get back-together on the other side. Love you always.
Once plans are decided upon, specifics about the forthcoming memorial ceremony will be shared.
