Preceding his 12-hour shift, David M. Austin, a respected EMT who went away last night, 1 October, is mourned by the Egg Harbour Township Emergency Medical Services community. David has served three decades in many agencies and services in the Atlantic and Cape May areas before deciding to work full-time as an EMT with Egg Harbour Township.
Colleagues who have had the good fortune to collaborate with him understand the depth of his sensitivity for patient care. David was quiet, yet his intelligence came through in every conversation. He was clearly committed to his career, always striving to improve his abilities and finally earning Paramedic certification in Pennsylvania and serving for numerous years with AMR.
David, who joined Egg Harbour Township in November 2022, has made a lasting impression on the town noted for his kind smile and great heart. Every everyone who knew him will really feel his absence.
Rest in Peace David M. Austin – 5/27/1972 – 10/01/2024.
His impact will linger in the great void left behind and the treasured recollections among coworkers. During this trying period, all staff members kindly offer their prayers to his immediate family and extended EMS relatives.
