Joshua Hudnall, who featured in Evil Lives Here passed away in 2018, he played the character of a tormented son. Investigation Discovery paid tribute to Joshua Hudnall after hearing news of his passing. The investigation that was conducted by Discovery did not provide any new information concerning his passing or the circumstances that surrounded his passing.
Josh had a guest appearance in the episode of Evil Lives Here titled “Let Her Rot,” in which he detailed the tragic events that led to the passing of his father, William Arnold Hudnall, who was 54 years old at the time.
Joshua’s sister, Guenevere Hudnall, and his mother, Stephanie Hudnall, devised a scheme to assassinate his father in order to obtain government benefits while Joshua was serving in the United States military deployed overseas.
They required financial assistance due to the fact that the mobile home in which they resided was in foreclosure. Stephanie transported her daughter to the residence of her estranged spouse in Hawthorne, Florida, on June 9, 2011. Guenevere struck her father in the head and torso with a pickax until he passed away when he fell asleep.
Stephanie and Guenevere were found guilty of second-degree homicide and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder. Each of them was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Joshua was taken aback when he discovered that his father had been assassinated by his mother and sister.
Nevertheless, he was of the opinion that his mother had instigated the murder of William and had persuaded his sister to participate in the crime. Joshua claimed that Stephanie was manipulative, fabricated stories of abuse, and even attempted to assault him with a knife during his childhood. However, he never imagined that she would murder his father.
Joshua was in close proximity to William and never had a positive relationship with his mother. He declared that his father was his sole acquaintance at one time. He visited Stephanie and Guenevere in prison prior to his death in an effort to ascertain the reason for his father’s murder; however, they failed to provide him with a rationale.
It was not until he viewed the interrogation video of Guenevere that he discovered the reason for their actions.
