Dustin Lee Kinard, 50, peacefully departed this life at his home in Seymour, Indiana, on September 25, 2024. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the cherished son of Donald Ray Kinard and Marie (Haefner) Kinard.
A proud graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School in Ohio, Dustin excelled in wrestling as a four-time state qualifier. He continued his education at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and later earned his master’s degree from Southern Nazarene University in Tulsa. Dustin dedicated his career to teaching and coaching football in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where he inspired numerous young athletes.
On June 21, 1997, Dustin married his soulmate, Amber (Banks) Kinard, in Springfield, Missouri. Together, they created a loving family that included their beloved daughter, Madison Brasher, and grandson, Brooks Brasher. Dustin cherished every moment with his family, especially his time with Brooks.
An avid sports fan, Dustin passionately supported the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, and Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed coaching, spending time outdoors, and traveling with family and friends, particularly to Colorado and the beach. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he found joy in his faith.
Dustin is survived by his wife, Amber Kinard; mother, Marie Kinard; daughter, Madison (Dakota) Brasher; grandson, Brooks Brasher; brothers, John (Robbin) Kinard and Greg (Rosaline) Kinard; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service, led by Pastor Rusty Gunn, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Central Christian Church in Seymour, IN, with visitation from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Cremation has been entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory. Memorial donations in Dustin’s honor may be made to Mannford Athletics, 136 Evans Ave., Mannford, Oklahoma 74044, ATTN: Josh Pierce.
