New London Community School District student, Gavin Browning has passed away unexpectedly. He was said to have died in an accident. According to the statement released by the school,
Dealing with the sudden loss of a young life can be incredibly challenging, and we understand that many of you may experience a range of emotions, including shock, sadness, and confusion. During times like these, it is essential that we come together to support one another.
To address the emotional needs of our students, the Crisis Response Team is prepared to provide support. Starting Monday morning, counselors from our school, as well as local churches and neighboring school district counselors, will be available to help students process their feelings and offer guidance.We encourage you to talk with your child about their feelings and remind them that it’s okay to grieve and seek support. If there are specific concerns or additional information that you believe the school should be aware of, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
