Lindsay Mikus of New York City has died. Lindsay Mikus, who has been employed as a caregiver at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in High Falls Since 2018 died in October 1. In addition to being a caregiver, Mikus was a veterinarian and an animal rights activist. Our hearts are shattered for Lindsay’s children, Avery and Julian, as well as for her family, friends, her community, and everyone else who is grieving the loss of someone so cherished and unique. Lindsay was loved by so many. She will be missed beyond words. Everything you’ve done to make this planet a better place will be remembered with you. A GoFundMe has been organized by Rachel McCrystal.
Lindsay was one of the most kind-hearted, sensitive, and altruistic people on earth. She devoted her life to helping others and easing the suffering of people in her immediate vicinity, both human and non-human, because she had a great concern for the world and the tragedies that befall everyone who lives in it, especially the animals. Lindsay was a determined activist, a caring veterinarian who genuinely loved her patients, a wonderful friend, a loving mother, and a voiceless person who never wavered. She was a somebody that everybody and everyone could depend on and trust. No matter what was going on in her life, she never hesitated to send a message to let everyone know that she loved and cared for our rescued inhabitants here.
As a qualified New York veterinarian since 2012 turned enthusiastic vegan advocate from 2015, She was introduced to ASEA in 2018. She joined in 2019 because she thought that things that are made for humans but are cellularly supportive of all animals should be shared for the benefit of everyone.
She fervently supported alternative therapies, wellness care, and holistic therapy in addition to conventional veterinary practice. Her commitment to human health goes beyond only animals. She was now developing a health coaching business with the goal of assisting both humans and animals on their path to wellbeing.
Her activism was the main attraction outside the clinic. In the vegan community, she was an enthusiastic voice for the rights of all animals. Her passion for plant-based cuisine has inspired her to research the greatest vegan options available, and she cherish the time she get to spend seeing the natural wonders of the world with her two sons. A courageous tiny pinscher rescue who survived a cancer diagnosis and a lively black cat rescue are also members of her family.
Her funeral arrangements and obituary will be announced by her family at later date. Also during the time of this report her cause of death was not disclosed.
