After the corpse of a 44-year-old man was retrieved on Tuesday night at a tent campsite close to Courtenay Bay Causeway and Crown Street in Saint John, N.B., an investigation is under way. About 8:45 p.m., emergency staff were sent to the scene and verified upon arrival that the person—later named as Jamie Langille—had died.
Arriving at the scene to help with the ongoing inquiry were forensic identification services and the coroner’s office. Langille has since been driven by authorities to a medical institution where an autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.
Though preliminary results point to no evidence of foul play, representatives from Major Crimes and the Coroner’s Office are still investigating the facts. More information could surface depending on the autopsy findings and other investigations.
