Jeff Cameron’s untimely death on September 25, 2024, devastated his loved ones beyond imagining. Jeff is survived by his wife, Jenn, and their four small children: Noelle, Jasper, Margot, and Evette, who are twins. His parents, Sally and Doug, will appreciate his legacy. He was well-known for his boundless energy and eagerness to host big gatherings of people, and he would even pitch in to clean up afterward.

Because of his position as main breadwinner, Jeff’s sudden departure has put his family through a lot of hardship, especially as Jenn deals with expensive medical treatments. Given the gravity of the situation, the family would be tremendously appreciated if you could donate to their GoFundMe page; $20 or $50 to help them get back on their feet financially.

At the University of Colorado, Jeff was a lecturer and scientist who was an inspiration to his students and colleagues alike thanks to his fresh perspective and boundless curiosity. His groundbreaking work in synthetic biology and bacterial metabolism laid the groundwork for clean technologies that will help ensure Earth’s continued viability in the years to come.

With the full backing of the family, Merritt Turetsky and Danielle Felix, two colleagues, have stepped up to the plate to spearhead this fundraising effort. We will ensure that every cent goes towards helping this dear family out at this difficult time. We would greatly appreciate any assistance that is offered.
