Deep grief at the death of long-serving volunteer Director Lorne Misanchuk, who left this life on Friday, October 4th, Dauphin’s Countryfest reflects From 1993 to 2009, Misanchuk made contributions to the Countryfest board that helped him to become a cherished member of the group. Renowned for his great knowledge and contagious humour, he offered lots of jokes and light-hearted antics to make everyone happy who came across his path.

Over his tenure, he clearly showed a great passion by spending many hours to guarantee the success and flawless running of the festival. Both participants and volunteers treasure the event as his relentless efforts greatly helped it to flourish and be enjoyed.
