The Chesterfield County Police Department responded to Meadowbrook High School at approximately 12:20 p.m. in response to a reported stabbing. Upon their arrival, the authorities discovered a student who had sustained a stab wound. Officers promptly implemented life-saving measures. The school was also promptly placed on lockdown. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Chesterfield Fire and EMS personnel.
The student is stable, according to the police, despite being in a critical condition.Additionally, the police have reported that a student has been apprehended. The incident resulted in the closure of the highways surrounding the school; however, they have since been reopened.
The Chesterfield County Police Department is currently conducting an additional investigation into this incident. Additionally, the circumstances that preceded the incident have not yet been disclosed.
