Micheal Thomas Rodriguez, born on January 3, 1969, in Defiance, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2024, at the age of 55.
Micheal was a devoted father to his three beloved children—Autumn, Summer, and Carter—who were the cornerstone of his life and brought him immeasurable joy. He was the treasured son of Gina (Barbara) and her late husband, Pedro Villa Rodriguez, and a loving brother to Jeffrey (Dale Lehmann) and Roberto (Stephanie). Micheal also cherished his role as an uncle to Maya (Justin), Mateo, and Pedro. He leaves behind a vast network of family and friends who adored him, and he is preceded in death by his father, Pedro, with whom he will be laid to rest.
A proud graduate of Rossford High School, Class of 1987, Micheal embodied Bulldog spirit throughout his life. Known for his remarkable generosity and strong work ethic, he worked as a skilled journeyman electrician for General Motors for 28 years, where he was an active member of the United Auto Workers union, advocating for his fellow workers’ rights.
Micheal’s passion for the arts was evident in his love for music and theater. He graced stages across Northwest Ohio, captivating audiences with his powerful voice. A gifted singer, he enjoyed karaoke nights with friends and was a devoted fan of Elvis, U2, R.E.M., and Frank Sinatra.
Known for his culinary skills, Micheal was especially famous for his tamales and signature steaks, bringing family and friends together over shared meals and joyous celebrations.
An active member of the Rossford Fraternal Order of Eagles #2322, he served as Trustee and made significant contributions to his community. His love for family, dedication to causes he believed in, and loyalty to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Dolphins defined his vibrant life.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Micheal’s life at Walker Sujkowski Funeral Home in Rossford on Sunday, September 29, from 1-5 PM, with a Fraternal Order of Eagles Service at 4 PM. Funeral services will be held at Walker Sujkowski on Monday, September 30, at 1 PM, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Rossford Fraternal Order of Eagles #2322, an organization dear to Micheal’s heart. His love, kindness, and zest for life will forever be remembered by all who knew him. Though his passing was sudden, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
