“We are very sad to announce the passing of our founder member Nancy Cameron.
Nancy was the driving force behind the establishment of the Friends in 2009, and chaired the organisation for its first 6 years to 2015. She was from then on our Honorary President.
Nancy steered the establishment of the flower displays, the bookshop, the station garden and many other aspects of the work we see today.
Our thoughts are with her husband Dugald, and her sister Sheena, at this difficult time.
Funeral details will follow in due course.”
Nancy’s contributions are much appreciated by the Friends group, which is dedicated to seeing that her vision and ideals live on. She will be remembered not only as a leader but also as a beloved friend whose energy and commitment will always remain with us.
