Pauline Stanton died quietly on Tuesday morning after a protracted struggle with COPD, according to a moving announcement. Though great strength and resiliency defined the path, the obstacles proved insurmount finally. We appreciate all those who have sent consoling words during this somewhat difficult period. The sentiments of compassion have helped through the loss.
October 23rd is the service day; a procession leaving her house between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at Weeley Crematorium, Colchester Road, Weeley, CO16 9JP; following that will be a gathering at The Ship Pub, Walton Road, Kirby Le Soken, CO13 0DT. Anyone who want to participate in remembering her is welcome.
Although standard funeral clothing is asked, people attending are urged—if at all possible—to wear a little sunflower or yellow rose broach in honour of her love of the colour she loved most. Alternatively, a basic yellow ribbon would be much welcomed as a tribute to her spirit and to offer a moment of light to an otherwise sad day.
This is a completely voluntary request meant to honour a cherished soul whose warmth will be much missed. I appreciate your patience and help during this period of remembering.
