The Woodend community reports the tragic death of long-standing Woodend resident and committed RSL member Reg Till with great sadness. Reg left his beloved daughters Robyn, Judy, and Sandra last week following a brief illness.

Always Willing To Serve

Reg finished his National Service in the Army in the 1950s and then devoted his life to voluntary work with the RSL. Until his last days, he was relentless in helping fellow veterans and the community. Reg was a well-liked and respected member recognised for his integrity and compassion; his absence will be much lamented by all that knew of him.

Funeral Service Information

Reg’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 1st, at 2 PM at the Thomas J Scott Memorial Chapel situated at 5 Piper Street, Kyneton. Refreshments will be served in the Woodend RSL following the funeral so friends and relatives may get together to commemorate Reg’s life collectively.

Collectively, we honour Reg’s efforts and remember his spirit. For those who had the honour of knowing him, his legacy of service and commitment will inspire them always. Lest we overlook the influence he had on the life of countless others; Reg will always hold a particular place in the hearts of everybody.

“We are sad to announce the recent passing of long term Woodend local and RSL member, Reg Till.
Reg passed away last week after a short illness and is survived by his daughters Robyn, Judy, and Sandra.
After completing his National Service in the Army in the 1950s, Reg continued his service as an RSL volunteer until the time of his death.
A popular and highly respected member, Reg will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st at 2pm at the Thomas J Scott Memorial Chapel – 5 Piper Street Kyneton.
Refreshments will be offered at Woodend RSL following the conclusion of the service”
