Sharon Garden, Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame president, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, she was 58 years old. Sharon’s love for her entire family was so profound that she served as the glue that kept us all together. Her bright smile and contagious laugh brought a ray of sunshine into our lives, and she was a ray of sunshine. Sharon possessed a profound trust in her Lord and Saviour, which was shown in the unconditional love and concern that she had for other people.

Sharon Garden Education

Prior to her employment at McMaster University, Sharon worked for Hamilton Health Sciences, Hamilton Civic Hospitals Research Centre, and Hamilton General Hospital. She was a treasured employee at McMaster University for a period of eighteen years. As part of her lifelong commitment to helping others and volunteering, Sharon is currently serving as President of the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame. This is her most recent project. Sharon also had a passion for the expressive arts, particularly ceramics, cross-stitch, drawing, and painting. She was particularly fond of these activities.

Funeral Plans

On the afternoon of Sunday, September 29, 2024, from one to five o’clock in the afternoon, the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, located at 36 Lake Avenue Drive in Stoney Creek, would be open to accept family and friends. On Monday, September 30, 2024, at one o’clock in the afternoon, the Funeral Service will be performed at the MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, which is located at 116 MacNab Street South in Hamilton. Those who wish to offer their condolences to Sharon’s family would be grateful for contributions made to the Cancer Assistance Program, which was a cause that was very important to Sharon.
