At St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, beloved Corinth, Amsterdam, and Albany figure Timothy Frederick Humphrey-Fox passed away quietly on October 1, 2024. Born on January 12, 1963, in Queens, Frank and Jeanne Fox loved only child spent his early years in Queens before moving to New Fairfield, Connecticut, at the age of 12 when his mother remarried Thomas Moore, a long-time family friend. In death, all parents and step-parents preceded him.
Completing New Fairfield High School, the University of Connecticut-Storrs, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the State University of New York at Oneonta, Timothy was a committed student. His dedication to serving others drove him to finish counsellor training at St. Peter’s Hospital, concentrating in alcohol and drug dependency intervention.
During their first week at Gordon-Conwell, Timothy met Judy, his wife; a lifetime friendship developed. On August 20, 1988, they tied the knot having shared 36 years of love, encouragement, and a common commitment to ministry. Judy was a pastor; Timothy was her constant supporter and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam as an alcohol intervention counsellor later moving to New Horizons Christian Counselling Centre in Scotia.
The couple’s boys, Joshua and Adam, who were always sources of pride and delight, made them most happy. Along with always longing for Joshua’s marriage to Nikki, Timothy’s love also included welcome for Katie as Adam’s wife. Timothy relished in family game evenings and treasured times of shared laughter, sharp wit and competitive drive guiding him.
Timothy’s constant faith and love for Jesus were pillarstones throughout his life; his family finds solace knowing he is now pain-free and singing happy in the celestial choir. Along with a multitude of friends, relatives, and churchgoers who will always treasure his memory, he is survived by his wife, Judy, sons Joshua (Nikki Baccol) and Adam (Katie Fox).
Tuesday, October 8, 2024 will see services at the Amsterdam Methodist Church followed by a committal at Corinth Rural Cemetery. Contributions in his memory could be made to the Amsterdam Methodist Church Trustees or the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department. Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., Corinth looks after arrangements.
