Just days following a major collision in Elmira Heights, a Steuben County motorcyclist passed away. Friday Sep. 27 2024 night on Oakwood Avenue, at about 10:00 p.m., the incident happened and emergency personnel were sent to the site of a major collision.
Authorities claim that Tyler Booth, the 28-year-old cyclist originally treated on-site for critical injuries, received quick medical assistance. After the first reply, Booth was taken for advanced care to Arnot Ogden Hospital. His condition was so severe that he was then moved to Robert Packer Hospital for more treatment and observation.
The Bradford County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Monday that Booth had sadly passed away from his injuries, although significant medical assistance. The local community has suffered greatly from the loss; family and friends are grieving the early passage of a young life.
At this point, no more specifics have been made public, waiting on the outcome of the investigation. Authorities ask everyone with further information to come forward as the inquiry is still in progress.
