Following an auto-pedestrian accident on Thursday in Bruceville-Eddy, the Department of Public Safety has named the person who sadly lost his life. Shortly after 8:00 p.m., Waco native Weston Walker, 23, was declared dead at the scene.

Reports from troopers state that the crash happened on FM-107 close to Temple Street. Initial results of the inquiry point to a Ford SUV striking Walker, apparently walking in the road at the time, while headed westbound on FM 107.

DPS Sergeant Ryan Howard said that the investigation on the events around the accident is still under progress. Authorities are assiduously compiling all relevant information to help to clarify the events leading to this sad outcome.
